Together we are stronger. Together we can make a difference.

Ten hospital systems throughout Miami-Dade and Broward counties have joined forces on a community-wide public service campaign to help stop the spread of COVID-19 in one of the nation’s most significant coronavirus hotspots.

Since the start of the pandemic, healthcare professionals have stood on the frontlines, putting others’ lives before theirs. As the number of positive cases in Miami-Dade and Broward continue to lead the state, our healthcare workers cannot combat this virus alone.

These hospital systems – Baptist Health South Florida, Broward Health, Cleveland Clinic Florida, HCA East Florida, Jackson Health System, Memorial Healthcare System, Mount Sinai Medical Center, Nicklaus Children’s Health System, Tenet Health, and University of Miami Health System – have united to amplify an important message to the public: “Together we are stronger. And together we can make a difference.”

This week, the hospital systems are launching an integrated marketing campaign, which includes TV commercials, newspaper and magazine ads, radio spots, social media posts, digital, and public
relations, which will penetrate the South Florida market with messages about the importance of hand washing, mask wearing, and social distancing. Information on where to get the appropriate care for COVID-19 symptoms – a virtual health visit, an urgent care center, or a hospital emergency room – is also included.

“Our nurses, doctors, and other hospital staff have been our front-line heroes during this pandemic, but they can’t do it alone,” said Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis. “We all have a responsibility to stop the spread, and these hospital systems are sending a powerful message by putting aside their normal competitive spirit to stand united for public health.”
