Miami-Dade Beacon Council Names Tatiana Nascimento Silva as New Chief Business Development Officer

    Executive with extensive experience in global markets and strategic leadership to advance business recruitment and retention for Greater Miami

    MIAMI, FL (August 22, 2024) – The Miami-Dade Beacon Council, the County’s official public-private economic development partnership, announces the appointment of Tatiana (Tati) Nascimento Silvaas the new Chief Business Development Officer. Silva brings nearly two decades of experience in driving business growth and fostering collaboration across global markets to the Miami-Dade Beacon Council.

    In her new role, Silva will lead The Beacon Council’s core work of attracting, retaining and expanding local business, supporting its mission to promote a more sustainable, inclusive, and competitive economy for Greater Miami. She will be responsible for driving business attraction, retention, and expansion efforts, further positioning Miami-Dade as a top-tier global business destination. Silva will work closely with the organization’s leadership and community partners to achieve these goals.

    Silva’s expertise in sales, strategy, and operations was honed during her tenure at Google across the US, Latin America, and Europe. She oversaw deployment of a large product-specialist organization supporting thousands of sellers, enabling data-driven decisions and enhanced capabilities that boosted annual revenue. Highlights of her success at Google include fostering robust partnerships with Google’s senior leadership and driving high-impact solutions for global clients like Booking.com, where her strategic approach increased media investment and overall performance. Her global perspective – shaped by living and working in Brazil, The Netherlands, New York and Silicon Valley – coupled with her proficiency in English, Spanish and Portuguese, enables her to connect with and support businesses worldwide seeking to establish or expand in Greater Miami.

    Beyond her professional achievements, Silva is committed to empowering others. While in New York, she served as a Latino Leader with MBA students at Harvard Business School. In Amsterdam, she co-led the Women@ Amsterdam chapter at Google and volunteered at TNW’s Amsterdam Tech Hub, teaching leadership courses.

    Tatiana’s educational background includes a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from The State University of Campinas in the state of São Paulo, Brazil (Unicamp), and executive education at Stanford University.
