In addition, many hotel chains have their regional offices in Miami, such as Intercontinental Hotels Group Latin America, Hilton International, Radisson Hotels & Resorts Latin America, and Hyatt Hotel Corporation. Miami is also home to Amadeus North America, and Expedia.
It also is a favored location for business meetings, sales events and trade shows, including high-profile diplomatic and hemispheric events. The Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau (GMCVB) is the official, accredited destination sales and marketing organization for Greater Miami and Miami Beach
Military and Defense
Military Miami-Dade is a program of The Beacon Council that serves as a liaison to the Florida Defense Alliance and Enterprise Florida. Military Miami-Dade’s goal is to enhance, expand and retain existing military installations in Miami-Dade County, to support local reuse efforts as a result of base/mission closures or realignments and to retain and enhance the defense-related industries that contribute significant economic benefit to the local economy. The military has an impact of more than $5 billion annually in Miami-Dade County.
