MIAMI, FL (October 31, 2024) – The Miami-Dade Beacon Council, the County’s official public-private economic development partnership, is excited to announce the appointment of George Lanza as its new Chief of Staff. With over 30 years of leadership experience across industries including pharmaceuticals, recycling, sustainability and international distribution, Lanza is set to play a crucial role in advancing The Beacon Council’s mission of creating a more sustainable, inclusive, and competitive economy for Greater Miami.
In his new role, Lanza will partner with Beacon Council President & CEO Rodrick T. Miller and the organization’s leadership team to guide the organization’s strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with the region’s economic needs while fostering key partnerships to drive business investment and growth. His wealth of experience will help elevate the organization’s efforts to attract, retain, and expand businesses across Miami-Dade County, reinforcing the region’s reputation as a premier global business destination.
This strategic addition to The Beacon Council’s leadership team highlights its dedication to bringing together top talent to complement its already accomplished staff.
